Franky, I was overwhelmed by the response to the call I did with Matt recently. I had SO many emails saying thank you and asking for more that it genuinely surprised me.

Thanks so much for your kind comments.

Well, I listened when you asked for more, in fact I think I have over delivered.

Heres why…

I spent today making a cool video for you that gives away some of my BEST resources that I use to get other people to do stuff for me so I can make more money.
(They require little to no budget so you can start regardless of the level you are at!)

When I first shared some of these resources with my “inner circle” of friends and close internet marketers, I told them specifically not to tell anyone about them.

One of those people was Matt Wolfe. I said to him “Good luck using this but don’t share it with just anyone”

Well, now its time for me to share some of these tips with you guys.

Frankly, I am tired of seeing successful marketers sell overpriced products that either have no valuable content or only tell half the story. I decided to tell the whole story and give the best content I could away for free. (Why? Because I have a successful business already, so I can.. And secondly, because I know that if I do this, there will always be customers willing to buy my stuff in future – This is a tip you should remember for your own business)

So, heres a video that shares some secret tips that at one point, I used to keep to myself. They REALLY can help you get a LOT more done in your business for next to nothing whilst making you more money.

But,

MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO!
There is an announcement at the end where I tell you about something mega cool I am doing for you guys. You will see a button at the end of the video that lets you take advantage of it!

I hope you find the video useful.

You do not need to opt in and we are not trying to sell anything in this call. This is pure content that we created just for you, because we believe it could help.

Please feel free to share it with others if you find it useful. You can also download the audio file for future reference. (To do either, just use the buttons below the player)

I genuinely hope you find this useful. One of my tips I share in this call, I have NEVER publicly spoken about before.

I hope you enjoy the call, please do leave your comments and questions below!

Josh

P.S. Stop by Matt’s blog & say hi if you haven’t already! He is a WordPress expert and shares advice on WordPress and internet marketing. -> www.MatthewWolfe.com

Unfortunately in the internet marketing industry, you are regularly being lied to.

Very often the information you are being given is outdated, or it was simple never true to begin with.
(Many of the people giving you this information have no idea what the truth is and are simply regurgitating what they have heard elsewhere)

One such lie is that you need a huge mailing list of thousands of people, to be able to achieve anything or to make any good money online.

This is a common misconception that stops many people from even getting started. Thankfully, it is definitely NOT true.

Let me show you why by giving you an example..

All my life I have loved Porsches. Something about the lines of the car grabbed my attention even as a child.

Naturally, when I open the paper and see a picture of a Porsche (or most sports cars for that matter) I take a second to read what the article is about.

Recently I happened to read an article about the new Porsche 918 Spyder. It is a concept car which was unveiled in Geneva during a recent motor show.

As I read the article, I learnt that this car was purely a concept car. To manufacture it’s unique parts, Porsche would actually have to retool some of their production plants to make it possible.

Hence why it is named a concept car rather than an actual production car.

The interesting part of this story however is that despite it being just a concept car and the technical difficulties and huge cost in development, this car actually IS likely to go into production.

Why?

Porsche, to date, have received just over 900 orders world wide. Not set in stone orders, but simply serious expressions of interest worldwide.
You see, Porsche, like many other car companies have a threshold that they stick to. A threshold that once reached, means they automatically go into full blown production of the car, concept or not.

“We need 1000 seriously interested people” Porsche said.

What is incredible to think about is this, they only need 1000 serious expressions of interest. With all the millions of people in the world, how many fans are there that would be seriously interested in Porsches new super car? I don’t even want to guess but I bet you it is in the tens of thousands.

Porsche recognize that just 1000 serious enquiries is a strong enough business case for them to change their production plants and spend millions making a concept car into a reality.

Now, how does this apply to you?

Well, you are always told to chase big numbers. You need millions of subscribers or sign ups or sales. So many people become casualties of staring at this seemingly unconquerable mountain and giving up before they have begun.

This is a mistake.

Rather than focusing on pleasing everyone and adding thousands of subscribers to your lists, you should focus on something far more powerful AND easier to achieve.

Focus on creating Fans.

Let me explain why and share with you what not nearly enough people talk about..

Think about it. We are all fans in multiple ways. I know there are certain actors or musicians who I will spend my money on regardless of what they put out, because I am a fan.

I love movies and you could say I am a fan of blue ray’s. I certainly spend a huge amount of money throughout the year on them if you add it up.

The thing that makes fans awesome is that they do two things differently.

First,
They buy with pure emotion. (With their heart, not their head)

Do you ask yourself if you need that new album if you are a fan of the artist? Of course not. You buy it out of emotion. It becomes an emotional purchase. We don’t need it, but we WANT it.

Secondly,
As fans, we keep coming back.

We spend more money, more often because our fan mentality kicks in. The lifetime value of a fan (LTV) is MUCH higher than that of a simple subscriber.

Over the course of an entire year, we spend substantial amounts of money on the things we are fans of, and we are less likely to complain, moan or ask for refunds. We LOVE buying these products and hand our money over with a smile because as a fan, we “just want it”.

Think about Apple products as an example. They sell out immediately.

The iPad experienced worldwide shortages (like the iPhone before it) because fans queued up all over the US to get one as quickly as they could. People camped out all night, stood in line and handed over cash with a smile. All because they were already sold on needing it before they even saw the product.

Apple do a great job of marketing to us and packaging their products in such a way that we feel proud to own them. They concentrate on creating fans. (And they focus on the emotion of owning the product, NOT the technical features that the product has)

They don’t however focus on creating a product everyone will be in the market for. They understand that you can’t be all things to all people. Many people hate Apple or think they create overpriced products, but the people who love them, are fans of their products and love them with a passion.

This is what we need to strive for with the people we communicate with in our business.

Never try to appeal to everyone. Instead focus on doing what you are passionate about as well as you can.

I can’t ever be all things to all my customers. If I try, I lose credibility and most importantly, I WONT succeed. Instead I focus on providing the very best experience to people who like who I am, what I make and what I do.

Be as cool as possible to your fans, don’t focus on making money from them but instead focus on giving them what they want, time and time again. If you do that then the money will come. (and your fan base will grow!)

Let me give you some interesting numbers that are WAY smaller than the ones that are often thrown around..

An average fan spends a minimum of $200 a year on purchases relating to what they are fans of.

So, with that in mind, if you can find just 500 people out of the millions worldwide that become fans of what you do, by being seriously cool to them and giving more than they expect, you have the beginnings of a six figure a year business.

(500 fans spending $200 a year = $100,000 a year)

Out of all the millions of people in the world, you don’t need tens of thousands. You don’t need a massive list to make six figures a year like you have been taught by the marketing industry. You don’t need huge international marketing campaigns, you simply need 500 people who become fans of what you do!

It is NOT a numbers game, it is a people game. People buy from people. Be someone that helps change the lives of your customers for the better and they will become your fans.

Focus on giving them amazing free content, sharing advice, solving their problems and be happy knowing you are helping them. Also know, if you do that, as a fan, they will keep coming back and will buy your products over and over again.

They will also spread the word to others about you much more actively than normal subscribers or customers, and they will more than likely spend enough with you throughout the year to take your business to the next level just from their purchases alone.

So, forget subscribers. Instead focus on creating fans.

And don’t forget, you may just find there are millions of ‘fans’ out there for what you do!

Speak soon,

Internet based business as a whole marks one of the biggest shifts in how people do business ever.

Start up costs are dramatically reduced, potential customer base has increased a thousand fold and ultimately, the opportunities out there right now are better than ever for people who wish to leave the 9 – 5 grind behind and branch out on their own.

The sheer wealth of information and resources available to you for next to nothing is incredible. So much so that most people blame information overload as the number one reason for not moving forward.

Think about that..

So much advice, information and rich resources are readily available that people consume too much and hit a standstill whilst trying to decide on which direction to go.

In business history, this has to be one of the best times to start..

Unfortunately though, precisely because of this, there are more lies, misinformation, hype and false “experts” out there than ever before.

If I were to ask you what one word is the most important word in business, the one word you should tape to your computer monitor and remember at all times.. What would your answer be?

Would it be “Productivity”?

“Profit”?

I am sure all of you would have different answers but all of the above are secondary to the one word that I hold as the most important word in this business..

“Credibility”

Without being credible and authentic, your audience will soon stop listening, your customers will stop paying attention (and stop paying you!) and you will lose one of the most valuable currencies you have.

Even over the internet, lack of credibility shines brightly and can be picked up quickly.

If you are creating a product or service, create it around a passion. Create it around something you have REAL experience in. Anyone can say they are experts in “x technique” but unless they use that technique regularly with great results, the words mean nothing and the technique is useless.

Anyone can say they work from home, but to work from home all you need to do is not go into the office. To be able to say “I work from home” you can simply quit your job and turn on your computer.

Of course, the real test is whether you can work from home creating a profitable sustainable business over time. THIS is what “working from home” really means. (Otherwise your working from home lifestyle will be a short lived one)

Sadly, in an industry such as ours, filled with so many people who can talk very loudly but can’t back up their own words.. it pays to keep your wits about you and look for signs of real credibility.

Dont be seduced by promises of quick results or “expert” status. I have seen many business “experts” who charge thousands of dollars to train people on how to have a profitable business when they themselves have only been in business a few months or a few years and have little profit to speak of.

Make sure you don’t get seduced by the promise of a quick return. A lasting return is MUCH more valuable.

Most importantly though..

Make sure you hold onto your own credibility for dear life. Make sure it shows in everything you do.

It is THE most valuable asset that you and your business have.

Josh

I am currently sat here in a hotel in Vegas and even though I have a huge amount of work I need to be doing I just had to write this blog post and share this with you.

Just under two weeks ago I flew out to San Diego and then on to Vegas shortly after celebrating a successful six figure launch for my latest product.

Over the last few days I have spent time networking and getting to know some of the top names in my industry. I have discussed business with people I have respected for years, spent time in VIP areas in the best places in Vegas and enjoyed the feeling of people coming up to me congratulating me on my product and hearing how it has helped their businesses already.

Its a new feeling having people knowing who I am and sometimes asking for pictures with me when I turn up at a conference, but I cant lie, it does feel cool. Mostly because of the great feedback people have given me about my latest product.

I have also got to spend alot of time with two very cool fellow marketers and great friends of mine, Matt Wolfe and Joe Fier (and their very cool wives) over the last few weeks. I have to say, its been great fun and being able to brainstorm business ideas together and create content for future projects at the same time is just awesome.

But, whilst all of this great stuff is happening, I cant shake a feeling that actually, none of this is fair.

Let me explain..

As marketers, entreprenuers and business owners, we get to reap the rewards of all of our hard work and efforts in creating products and services that sell. We get our users thanking us, people wanting to contact us and of course, we get the financial rewards too!

But, there is one thing that never gets mentioned..

Whilst we may put in the hard work, formulate ideas and take action to achieve our goals that give us financial rewards and recognition, we should always remember one important factor that makes all the difference.

Without this one thing, I never would of been able to achieve ANY of the successes in business that I have had so far and it is most likely the same for you.

Even though it is that powerful, I hardly EVER hear it talked about.

I am talking about our partners, wives and husbands who support us and sit behind the scenes, carry us forward, pick us up when we are down and provide the voice of reason to our many crazy ideas.

I know, without my wife, I never would of been able to have the six figure launch I had recently. But, she gets no praise, nobody comes to her and congratulates her on the product we ended up creating.

In the eyes of others, it ends up being my achievement. In realtiy, its our achievement.

That is what this blog post is about.

Sitting here in Vegas, a place where possibly this kind of sentiment is felt less than anywhere else in the world makes it hit home all the more powerfully for me.

To sum it up simply, I CANT do this without my wife and even more importantly, I probably wouldnt want to.

Someone said to me recently the “why” is more important than the “when” in business. The reason behind why you are trying to reach that next level is way more important than when you will. If you focus on the “why” and make it a powerful one then the “when” will happen alot sooner.

My personal “why” is my wife. I want to create a lifestyle for her and our future family that they deserve. I want her to get paid back for all those hard times, late nights, tears and upsets we have had to go through to reach where we are now.

She has picked me up when I stumbled more times than I can remember. If it wasnt for that support I would have given up long ago.

I dont feel that this is focused on enough by people. Without your loved ones and close partners, you couldnt have achieved any of what you have so far.

We should always remember this, take time to thank these people and remind ourselves, however urgent that email is, making sure they know we love and appreciate them is so much more important.

My friends Matt and Joe who I mentioned earlier are both also married and we have all talked about this over the past few days.

The emotional, financial and spiritual support that our wives give us have been THE reason we have been able to do ANYTHING in this business. I guess spending time without them reminds us of how much we value them.

So, thank you Louise. I love you, appreciate you and couldnt do any of this without you. Thank you for putting up with my long hours, sleepless nights, the times when I stress out for no reason and all the ups and downs over the years.

This post may seem corny to some of you but to be honest, I dont care.. Sometimes we need to say it like it is.

Some of you will also wonder why I am writing this post before I write an update about my recent successful launch. Surely, straight after such a successful launch I need to get the details out there, further my brand and thank all my customers. While thats very true, I felt this should be said first.

Take time to thank your loved ones who make this possible for you. Whatever level you are currently at, without their support and understanding, it would of taken you much longer to arrive where you are now, and to get where you are going.

Josh

So, as 2009 slips into the past and I look forward to 2010 and beyond, I cant help but think how fast the last couple of months have flown by.

Only 3 short months ago I introduced the idea of Easy Video Player publicly, for the first time, to the readers of this blog.

Since then I have kept myself busy, working hard with my team perfecting the product and getting it ready for launch.

Easy Video Player is a product I wanted to create for all the marketers out there who struggle with video. It is a product I am really proud of, something that I genuinely wanted to create to solve peoples problems and give myself, and others a tool that, in my ideal world, should exist!

Well, I am happy to say that now, it does.

In my eyes, you should never create products to make a profit, to build your name or to gain leads. You should make products to solve problems, help people and if you do that, the rewards will come. This is where SO many people get product creation wrong. Focus on solving problems and people will pay you, try to make something to extract cash from people and they wont.

The most rewarding part of everything that has happened for me so far though is getting the incredible feedback from Easy Video Player test users.

We decided, before we went ahead with our full launch, we should run a limited test launch.. Get the product out there and get the feedback of the market. We could then work hard to make sure everything was as close to perfect as possible in time for the full commercial launch.

Well, to say the response to the test launch was overwhelming would be an understatement! We started getting people contact us and congratulate us daily and telling us that this product would change how they use video in their businesses.

The best bit though was that we had countless people telling us that Easy Video Player is the best product they have got their hands on in years, or even that they had ever got their hands on, in the marketing industry!

This sort of feedback really makes me realize that I have achieved what I set out to achieve with Easy Video Player..

One of the proudest moments for me however was all of this leading to me getting to speak to a business role model of mine.

He is a marketing expert called Mike Filsaime and someone I followed since starting my first business back in 2004. I have read many of his books, courses and content over the years and a lot of it has helped teach me marketing principles I still use in my business today.

He is obviously thought of as a guru in the internet marketing industry and he is one of the biggest and most forward thinking marketers in the world.

What made it all the more sweet for me was that I had personally followed his material for such a long time and he actually bought a copy of my product during test launch and then went on to tweet about it and then phone me personally to congratulate me on making what he thought was a great product. (later going on to provide me with a great testimonial too)

He gave me some great advice and ideas for the product which we quickly worked in, ready for launch.

Since the initial great feedback from our test, more and more people have been jumping on board to promote and I have been lucky enough to get to speak to nearly all of the biggest names in our industry, with most of them wanting to promote.

So after such a positive response we are now finally getting geared up ready for the big launch. Its just around the corner on Jan 12th and our pre launch phase starts tomorrow! (Jan 5th)

This is where YOU can get involved and make sure your 2010 starts with a bang too by benefiting from the buzz that Easy Video Player has already created!

We have an affiliate program set up for Easy Video Player that makes promotion easy. It provides you with all the tools you need to promote so you can copy and paste and make money promoting a product that has been incredibly well received.

It pays big commissions on the product, all upsells and the optional monthly membership plan. This means you can make hundreds of dollars per sale PLUS monthly income for every single copy of Easy Video Player you sell!

On top of that we are running TWO competitions with some awesome prizes up for grabs for everybody who helps promote!

The launch competition will boast some big ticket prizes for our top sellers while our Pre Launch competiton (starting tomorrow!) boasts some of the coolest, fun prizes around and everyone has a chance to win!

Remember, this product is an evergreen product and can make you money throughout 2010 and onwards into the future, so add it into your follow up emails, add banners to your your sites to keep earning commissions well into the future.

So, 2009 was a great year but 2010 is set to be an even better year for everyone.

Make sure you benefit from the success of Easy Video Player with me and lets make some serious Cash to start off 2010!

Good luck in your ventures and I will speak to you all soon,

Josh
