If you really want to get to know me, feel free to read the About Me page above.

In the meantime I will do my best to fill you in. My name is Josh Bartlett, I have been working for myself since 2005 when I walked out of my job selling loans that I believe were unethical. I couldn’t stomach it and I had to leave.

During that time I was messing around with eBay, making a bit of money each month and decided I really wanted to fulfill a lifelong goal of working for myself.

Walking out of that job was one of the best feelings I have ever had. It hasn’t all been plain sailing though, I built a successful business only to lose it all and find myself right at the bottom again. I had nothing, no income, no money, fears of losing my house, my possessions and basically everything I had worked for. Obviously this was an extremely hard time for me and one of the lowest points of my life. However nearly 18 months on I find myself achieving another goal of living by the sea in New Zealand.

I have managed to dig myself out of that hole, slowly build myself back up, both in terms of knowledge and also in terms of confidence. When you build something up yourself only to lose it, it can really effect your confidence and kick you in the gut. This may sound like a cliche but it isn’t how hard you can hit, its how hard you can get hit and keep getting up. I truly believe that in life we have two choices, become a victim or let our hard times make us stronger. I can truly say that I am a stronger, more knowledgeable and more understanding version of myself as a result of my experiences.

During the time directly after my “big fall” I devoured every single piece of information that I thought would make me a better person and a more successful businessman. I read countless books and guides on self improvement, business selling, internet marketing and business skills. Suddenly, from the mess that was around me I could see order and a way forward emerging. Slowly I built a team of people who I still work with to this day, and value hugely, who work with me to create my products, sites and other projects. I use this team because I learnt the power of outsourcing anything which is not a strong point.

I have seen some successes along the way, apart from my first business, I have slowly started to build a list of people interested in what I do, sold into the hundreds of copies of my software products and every single day I learn something new both about business and about myself. I consider myself as extremely lucky and blessed. I live seconds from the sea and can hear the waves at night time. I still work for myself and have escaped my first major failure which threatened everything I knew with my life intact and no lasting wounds. (Just a few scars which remind me of the lessons I have learned)

I believe life is split into chapters and I am extremely excited to say I have just turned the page on the newest chapter yet. I have met many great people since starting along this road and can see that the future is a hugely exciting place for me now.

Things can only get better and I have made it my personal mission to help anyone who has been where I have to get out of the bad times and learn what it takes to make money online so they too can change their life for the better like I have managed to do so far and expect to continue to do in future.

To steal a catchphrase from a company I used to work for whilst dreaming of working for myself, “The futures bright”

Please do comment and I will speak to you all soon..

JB
